How to choose an electrical part
For dynamos, alternators and starters, the exact model matters — even within the ASTE series, parts for the A-13/A-14 differ from those for the A-155 to A-195. Before replacing a part, also check the battery, fuses and wiring; a fault there often shows up in the same way as a defective part.

What to watch out for
- Dynamo or alternator? Depending on the model, the machine has either a dynamo with a regulator or an alternator. The parts are not interchangeable.
- Glow system. Poor cold starting is often caused by a glow plug or relay. You will find glow plugs in the engine category.
