How to choose a PTO shaft
For driving implements, length is what matters — measure the distance between the tractor's PTO and the implement's input shaft in the shortest and longest working positions. The shaft must have sufficient tube overlap in both positions and must not bottom out. For parts for a specific machine, choose by compatibility.

What to watch out for
- The PTO shaft guard is a safety feature. A rotating shaft without a guard is a serious risk of injury.
- Speed. The PTO shafts in our range are designed for a 540 rpm PTO.
- Greasing the universal joints as per the manual extends their service life.
Frequently asked questions
Is a PTO shaft supplied with the implement?
For some implements, yes (for example HPM flail mulchers, backhoes, augers). For others, this is stated in the product description in the attachments category.
What PTO shaft length do I need?
Measure the distance between the shafts with the implement in its shortest position. If you are not sure, call us with your tractor and implement type.
