About us: from a small workshop to more than 2,700 satisfied customers

Traktor Centrum did not appear overnight, nor was it built on a passing trend. It is the story of two people who started out in a small workshop, were not afraid of hard work and believed in their vision at a time when few others thought it made sense. Today we are one of the leading sellers of refurbished Kubota compact tractors in the Czech Republic.

Where it all began: steel structures and our first front loader

Our company started out as a small workshop specialising in steel structures, railings, wrought-iron gates and fences. Every weld and every piece of metal was done with care — that was our foundation.

The turning point came with an order to build a front loader for a compact tractor. That first project was a success, and we soon began building custom front loaders on a regular basis. One order after another, one satisfied customer after another.

The road to Kubota: when the quality isn’t good enough, you build it yourself

Over time, while repairing and fitting front loaders, we came across refurbished compact tractors more and more often. Unfortunately, their quality often fell short of both our standards and our customers’ expectations.

So we decided to go our own way. We bought our first Kubota compact tractor, refurbished it completely, and the result convinced both us and our customers. The tractor quickly found a new owner. We knew we were on the right track.

Kubota was the obvious choice for us: Japanese precision, excellent availability of spare parts and a design life that, after refurbishment, allows a further 10,000 or more operating hours of reliable service.

23 June 2017: the day the vision became a company

On 23 June 2017, Jakub Formánek gave this vision concrete form together with his friend Petr Šimek, now also a managing director of the company, who came up with the idea of professionally refurbishing Japanese compact tractors. Together they combined front loader production with professional compact tractor refurbishment, and Traktor Centrum was born.

Although many people laughed at the time and did not believe this field had a future, we were not discouraged. The early days were hard — both financially and in terms of time. Working sixteen to twenty hours a day was our everyday standard. Through hard work, attention to detail and a fair approach to our customers, we gradually built a stable company.

Jakub Formánek — Managing Director

Every customer who calls us speaks directly to me. I personally look after the whole process — from choosing the right machine and giving advice to the purchase itself. I handle purchasing, the import of machines and attachments, and ordering the supplies we need for our work. Nothing makes me happier than a customer calling a year after the purchase to say their tractor still runs like clockwork.

Petr Šimek — Managing Director

I focus mainly on preparing manufacturing procedures and production documentation, so that everything runs precisely and without unnecessary complications. I prepare the drawings and production documents that form the basis of all our work. I am also responsible for graphic design — from sticker designs to the visual presentation of our products — so that everything not only works well but looks good too.

What began as the dream of two people in a small workshop is now a reality. Every year we sell hundreds of refurbished Kubota compact tractors and a wide range of quality attachments. Over the years we have earned the trust of more than 2,700 satisfied customers — from private gardeners and cottage owners to farmers, fruit growers, municipal authorities and public service companies.
