Wood Processing
Wood processing implements for compact tractors — a forestry winch for skidding logs, log splitters for firewood and wood chippers for processing branches and brushwood. Everything attaches to the three-point hitch and is driven by the PTO shaft; one of the splitters runs on the tractor's hydraulics.
With a compact tractor you can cover the whole process: pulling timber out of the stand, preparing firewood and clearing up after pruning. Prices from 33,500 to 88,000 CZK incl. VAT.

What to watch out for
- A tractor for forestry work needs 4WD and sufficient weight. Ready-to-go machines can be found in the forestry compact tractors category.
- Safety when winching — never stand in line with the rope or in the area where the rope would whip if it broke.
- Chipper and branch diameter. The stated diameter is the maximum, not the normal load. If you process a lot of thicker branches, choose a larger model.
Frequently asked questions
Is a 20 hp compact tractor enough for wood processing?
For the 2.5T winch, both log splitters and the TCM 20ST chipper, yes — they are designed for 15 and 18 hp respectively. The larger ST43 and ST63 chippers need 25 hp or more.
Which log splitter should I choose, PTO or hydraulic?
The 22T hydraulic splitter uses the tractor's hydraulic circuit and is cheaper. The 22T PTO version is driven by the PTO shaft. The splitting force and log length are the same for both.
